Gallerý fiskur is owned and operated by father Ásmundur and son Kristófer, and their families. The adventure began in January 1994 when Ásmundur bought the fish shop and was joined shortly later by Kristófer. In 2002, after 8 years of being fishmongers they opened Gallerý fiskur restaurant in the adjoining commerical space.
Since then fish as been the main focus of the menu but recently more emphasis has been put on meat dishes. Vegan cuisine has now mad its way on to the menu because when all is said and sone its all food.
